Anywhere with a high concentration of trees alongside additional vegetation is susceptible to it. Deforestation, soil erosion, climate change, emissions, flooding and a number of additional concerns can all be brought on by the loss of trees ("Effects of deforestation", n.d.).
In the world, industrial agriculture is responsible for 85% of deforestation. The forests emit atmospheric carbon dioxide and other environmental pollutants when cut down or even just disturbed. About 10% of global warming is a result of forest degradation and loss.
The most significant root cause of tropical deforestation is the conversion of tropical forest to agriculture and fields, particularly for agriculture, which involves cultivating crops or cattle. This is a testament to the value of forests to Jamaica, that utilizes over 50 percent of the land on the island, along with the significant sacrifices that the nation has made to protect and improve these resources
With use of the systems thinking method, stakeholders would be more aware of the matters at hand which may as a result be the main causes of the conditions affecting climate and among other things. The stakeholders can move in the right direction of engineering solutions which can be best for preserving and caring for the environment. Additionally, reforestation can safeguard biodiversity, maintain the soil's stability, aid in sustaining the water cycle, and gradually restore the essential ecosystem functions.
